On Thursday, June 24 at 12 NOON, New Yorkers from across the city will rally on the steps of City Hall to call on the New York City Council to override Mayor Bloomberg's veto of two key bills of the Community Safety Act, the End NYPD Discriminatory Profiling Act (Intro 1080) and the Independent NYPD Oversight Act (Intro 1079). These bills, which passed with veto-proof majorities in June, were vetoed by the Mayor with no opportunity for public input. Join us as we call for these important and historic policy changes that will ensure safety, dignity, and respect for ALL New Yorkers. For more info click here.
