Join CPR member New York Anti-violence Project for a political education workshop that dives deep into AVP’s Cops out of Pride campaign, including the history of New York LGBTQ communities and NYPD, the origin of Pride from the Stonewall Uprising against a police raid. Also discussed will be LGBTQ communities’ resistance, alternative marches without the NYPD, policing today, and more, to give context for AVP’s Cops out of Pride campaign.
