Victory! City Council Overrides Vetoes to Pass Community Safety Act

Communities Rally #Override4Justice Before City Council Vote

On August 22, 2013 the New York City Council overrode the Mayor's veto to approve landmark Community Safety Act legislation that will strengthen and expand the ban on racial and other discriminatory profiling and establish oversight of the NYPD. Take a moment now to thank your Council Member if they voted to override the Mayor's veto of both bills or express your disappointment if they didn't.
